Skill Challenges

A skill challenge is 3 rounds long, and each player must take an action each round. Tally up the success and you can get Total success, Partial, or even total Failure.

Difficulty of Checks: To assign the difficulty of a Challenge, use the following Modifers to the level based DCs

Level of Challenge DC Modifier
Easy -5
Simple -2
Normal +0
Challenging +2
Ludicrous +5

‘’Critical Success:’’ A natural 20 on a skill check is an automatic success. In addition, the player gets one additional success.
‘’Going for Broke:’’ This rule gives players more control over their actions in a skill challenge. During the third (and last) segment of a skill challenge, players can take a ‐5 to their skill rolls. If they still make the DC, they receive one additional success.

Simple Challenge: A simple Skill challenge uses the numbers for 1 player, but is applicable to upto 3 PCs (they can work together), and is applied to most skill checks. Use this method to assign DCs quickly
